Over £11,000 was raised on the night for Great Ormond Street Children's Charity - thank you to everyone for their generous donations. A fantastic achievement.
Over the past ten years, the Public Private Finance Awards have grown to become by far the biggest event of the year for the public private partnerships industry. Approximatley 1,200 people were in attendance last night to network and celebrate the best deals of the year. Deal structures are evolving rapidly, as the government encourages companies to offer services as well as buildings. Prisons, medical clinics and waste plants are all being privately run as the boundaries of partnerships are stretched in the search for innovation and efficiency.
This year's awards recognised the teams and the individuals driving this process forward - as well as those making a success of existing operational projects. They also recognised the best deals from Europe and the rest of the world, too. A panel of some of the most respected and experienced professionals from the public and private sectors judged the Awards led by Tim Byles, Partnerships for Schools.
