The Public Private Finance Awards 2009
This is the 11th anniversary of the Public Private Finance Awards. They have become the biggest event of the year for the public private partnerships industry, attended by over 1,200 people who come to celebrate the best deals of the year, to network with the most senior people in the industry – and to keep on eye on how deal structures are evolving.
This is particularly important as the government battles against a credit crunch and recession, vowing to protect the big building programmes to weather the economic storm. This year, we have updated the categories to reflect the wider partnerships programmes born out of PFI, notably in housing and regeneration. We have also created separate categories for the big programmes in areas including waste and transport, as well as in health and education. And we have created a single category for best international project, reflecting partnerships’ increasing importance across the world.
A panel of some of the most respected and experienced professionals from the public and private sectors will be judging the Awards. Now we must receive entries from the best this industry has to offer. I look forward to receiving your entries, and to meeting you on the night.
